ABOUT PavTech
Established in 2017, Pavtech stems from a deep-rooted lineage of asphalt repair and manufacturing specialists. The journey began in 2015 when a dedicated group of entrepreneurs launched an ambitious R&D project to engineer the ultimate cold mix—a product capable of truly withstanding harsh weather and heavy traffic and becoming the only PERMANENT pothole cold patch on the market.
This exhaustive research led to the creation of iSphalt 6.5. Following successful initial testing in 2017, the team focused on scaling production and navigating the complex path to market. Despite initial industry skepticism toward cold mix solutions, Pavtech’s persistence paid off. Through rigorous research and development and trial and error installations, they proved the product's superior quality, ultimately securing approval from major governement entities across the province of Quebec.
Between 2018 and 2020, more tests and improvements were made to the product, the packaging and the factory.
In 2020, iSphalt 6.5 made its official debut in the Quebec market, rapidly establishing itself as a reliable, permanent pothole repair solution for numerous municipalities and provincial government agencies. In mid 2020, the initial product rollout faced delays due to the global economic slowdown and pandemic-related challenges.
Pavtech resumed its sales operations and launched a new research and development phase in 2022. This work focused on optimizing the iSphalt 6.5 formula and introducing innovative packaging formats—such as the aluminum-lined nylon bag.

To meet the growing demand for iSphalt 6.5, Pavtech is preparing to install a custom-built, fully automated, and state-of-the-art production line by mid-2026. This new production line will enable us to consistently supply this revolutionary permanent cold-mix asphalt to our rapidly expanding customer base. We will then be positioned to move to the next stage by eventually adding a second production line, with a target capacity of 2 million bags annually.
